About the Platform

National Data Governance Platform is a national electronic Platform that targets data management and governance in addition to protection of personal data by providing a set of electronic services, such as: Assess compliance, receive and address complaints and inquiries related to violations of PDPL in order to protect data as national assets and safeguard individuals' rights from abuses and illegal violations based on PDPL, issued by Royal Decree No. (M/19) dated 09/02/1443 AH, and amended by Royal Decree No. (M/148) dated 05/09/1444 AH. Moreover, via the Platform, beneficiaries from the public, private, non-profit sectors and individuals are supported with tools, guides, and advisory services that enable them to comply with the provisions of PDPL and its Implementing Regulations.

Objectives

  • Maintain the privacy of individuals and enable them to exercise their rights when processing their personal data.
  • Enhance national data sovereignty and maintain the privacy of individuals when processing their personal data.
  • Raise awareness of personal data protection and reduce risks of data breaches and violations.
  • Enable individuals to file complaints against PDPL violators.
  • Enhance confidence in trading and commercial transactions in the Saudi market through a national data governance that protects clients' rights.
